Graphics cards are essential for PC gaming. As they work, these components generate heat. The TDP value represents this heat. It shows the amount of power required to prevent temperatures from increasing too much. As a rule of thumb, always buy graphics cards with low TDP values.
More fans are required to distribute the heat around larger areas like full-tower cases because they require more space and energy. Therefore TDP is a measure of how much power an individual component requires on its own.
